![]() ![]() We tried to call back a third time and got the error “we have called too many times in 24 hours”. We called back again and requested escalation to a manager or to their security team, the second engineer still refused to help or escalate the case. We tried to explain that we are being bombarded by thousands of emails an hour by them, but he still refused. This is where it gets infuriating, we called Dropbox yesterday, and the first support engineer said unless the person sending the malicious files calls in there is NOTHING they can do. This allows it to bypass our gateway email protection as short of dropping all Dropbox emails, it can’t determine if the file is malicious. This attack is new to us however, as the files are shared with specific email addresses and if you are not logged into Dropbox with the email it was sent to you can’t see the file. The files are the typical phishing PDF files that direct you to a phony login page. We use Dropbox and have a professional plan with phone support.Īs of yesterday we are getting bombarded with thousands of emails from Dropbox from several different Dropbox accounts sharing files with our employees. ![]() ![]() Dropbox completely has dropped the ball with their security and support. ![]()
